About the VR Goalkeeper Project

Our team, led by the renowned handball goalkeeping coach and former professional goalkeeper of Croatia’s top clubs, Sanimir Radek, has developed an innovative project that uses cutting-edge VR technology to enhance handball goalkeeper training.

Thanks to virtual reality, goalkeepers train in a completely safe environment — without the risk of injuries caused by physical contact. It enables the repetition of identical situations, which is impossible in real life, and performing a large number of reactions in a very short time (in real training, 100 identical attack repetitions were achieved in eight minutes — a process that would normally take months). This approach brings significant progress in reaction speed, physical conditioning, mental preparation, and other key aspects of goalkeeper training.

To conduct VR training, a space of only 3 × 4 meters (a total of 12 square meters) is sufficient, making it easy to use in almost any sports hall or smaller room without major infrastructure adjustments.
